PSN Game Deals are up for the week and feature a Critics’ Choice Sale as well as EA getting in on the action with digital game deals of their own.

This week’s Critics’ Choice Sale sees only Dragon Age Inquisition: Deluxe Edition majorly discounted at $7.99. Other standouts include Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number cross-buy purchase a bargain at $8.99, and Street Fighter V’s Season 1 Character pass at $11.99.

Dragon Age Inquisition’s Game of the Year Edition remains fairly high compared to the Deluxe Edition’s quick buy price tag at $7.99. Fallout 4 fans might look into purchasing the Digital Deluxe bundle normally selling for $109.99 at $65.99. Life is Strange’s complete season bundle at $7.99 is also something to be checked out.

Nothing immediately jumps up as a must buy though and February looks like a slow month in terms of digital game deals. Even last week’s flash sale was a bit hefty in terms of markup compared to the past. That said if you’ve been waiting for any kind of discount of last year’s hottest titles these game deals will suffice.

Note: Only significant game deals or ones on fairly recent new-release games are listed here. We curate deals of interest so you don’t have to skim through hundreds of titles. The game deal cliff notes if you will.

Today’s the last day to save on comfy, digital Nintendo Switch copies of the Disgaea franchise and more with the NIS America Publisher Sale on the eShop.

Disgaea 5 Complete is the centerpiece of the NIS America Publisher Sale in-progress at the Nintendo eShop, ending on February 6 at 8:59 AM PT (11:59 a.m. ET). The title is discounted to $29.99 (25% off) from its regular $39.99 price and it notably doesn’t go on sale for the Nintendo Switch too often.

Killia’s odyssey in Disgaea 5 Complete includes all DLC content and the sheer quantity of classic characters will have you in strategy grid’s memory lane. You’ll find playable scenarios to unlock Disgaea fan favorites such as Laharl, Etna, Flonne and The Witch and The Hundred Knight’s Metallia available from the get-go. Speaking of Laharl, the recently remastered Disgaea 1 Complete is also discounted, albeit for a heftier $39.99 (20% off).

The other noticeable discount around the $30 dollar range is one that piques curiosity for most SNK faithful. SNK HEROINES: Tag Team Frenzy is discounted to $29.99 (40% off) and was released fairly recently (this past September 7, 2018). Live Game Deals recently reviewed the Jeanne D’Arc and Skullomania DLC character additions to the title.

Wii U fans will notice one of the more limited release physical titles, Rodea the Sky Solder is discounted to $9.99. A great entry level price for those who want to try out one of Wii U’s final major developer releases. Composer Takayuki Nakamura of the Virtua Fighter, Tobal 2, Ehrgeiz franchises worked on Rodea’s soundtrack.

Without further adieu, here’s the full list of titles (Switch, Wii U, 3DS) discounted for NIS America’s Publisher Sale on the Nintendo eShop:

PSN Game Deals are up for the week and feature an Elder Scrolls Sale with Tamriel Unlimited at $12.89 ($9.89 – Plus Members) for the PS4 as its centerpiece.

Here’s the full rundown and links to every item on sale!

The Elder Scrolls Sale Rundown

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited – 5500 Crowns – $27.99 ($23.99 – Plus Member)

PSN Game Deal of the Week:

If you’re looking to give The Elder Scrolls Online series a try without a large investment, Tamriel Unlimited at $12.89 ($9.89 for PlayStation Plus Members) is a solid deal. There’s no active subscription required anymore to partake in the game so you don’t have to worry about hidden costs.

PSN Game Deal Weekly Conclusion:

There’s nothing that necessarily jumps out of you in this week’s sale. MMORPG fans that somehow missed out on trying out on the series are best served in this week’s PSN Game Deals, the rest will probably wait it out.

The Gold Edition bundle and especially the Gold Edition Premium bundle are still a bit too pricy, especially for a digital purchase. Though the complete experience bundles are still fairly recent with a release date of September 9, 2016, Tamriel Unlimited was originally released on June 9, 2015.

The titles are going to be a bit dated by now, so this week’s PSN Game Deals are purely for the hardcore MMORPG crowd.

Tamriel Unlimited for the PlayStation 4 averaged a 74 on Metacritic by official critics and a 7.6 user score.

Check out last week’s PSN Grand Theft Auto Sale to get an idea of what weekly game deals you might be missing out on. Sony occasionally holds a flash sale on PSN which you should always keep an eye out for.

Hopefully another flash sale will arrive on PSN this weekend!

PSN Game Deals are up for the week and feature a Grand Theft Auto Sale with the PS2 Classics, including Vice City as the centerpiece for sale at $9.89 each.

This week’s PSN Grand Theft Auto Sale is a great time to catch up on your PS2 classics on your PlayStation 4! The rest of the sale sees the last release, GTA V reduced to $29.99/19.99 [PS4/PS3] as well as upfront cash card bundles. GTA V is one of the best games of all time so if you’re looking to replay the title in its remastered form, $29.99 is a solid price. Especially with the added advantage of having the game available at all times on the hard drive. Who wants to get up to switch game discs these days really?

Conclusion:

This week’s PSN GTA Sale is packed with Instabuys of truly great classics. GTA has never failed to live up to its name, the quality of these title is top tier with literally endless replay value. There’s not enough time in a day, month or even a year to fully explore every nook and cranny of GTA V. If you’re new to the series and looking to discover its past, Vice City is an excellent place to start. One of the true legendary classics of gaming history.

The Cash Card bundles are only worth it if you’re purchasing GTA V for the first time and believe you’ll be spending a good portion of your gaming sessions playing online. If you’re only thinking about logging on once or twice you’d be better off getting the GTA V and San Andreas bundle for single player action. It’s all about how you feel about GTA Online, and multiplayer action in general in your GTA experience.

PSN Deal of the Week:

The Deal of the Week is GTA’s Trilogy with all three PS2 titles in one bundle for essentially $21 dollars. You’re likely gonna buy all of them at one time or another, why not just get the bundle and save a few bucks? Runner-up is the Vita GTA Stories bundle with chapters many have never encountered before. It’s a perfect time to break out the Vita or PSP to play GTA on the go and in general to experience a completely different side of GTA.

Deal Research Based on the Past:

Check out March’s PSN Batman Sale to get an idea of what weekly game deals you might be missing out on. Sony occasionally holds a flash sale on PSN which you should always keep an eye out for.

Though it seems the days of a $1 dollar per game style flash sale are over, there’s always a couple of gems discounted just enough to be must buys.

Rockstar games see sales on the PlayStation Network about semi-regularly, so if you can’t spare the cash right now… There will likely be another chance. Their lineup is not quite as regularly discounted as Ubisoft or Activision’s however, so there could be a month or even three month lull before the next Rockstar sale. If you truly want these digital titles on the HD in the present, make the purchases.

Some might want to get nostalgic with the classic PS2 titles and even explore how GTA games have changed and evolved with each iteration. Others might want to rediscover the modern masterpiece that was GTA V and its rich locales, fully remastered. Then there are gamers who want to simply dive into some online action once in a while who as mentioned before would be served by the cash card bundles ahead of time. A GTA experience is always personal.

Be sure to check out daily Video Game Deals for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, 3DS, Vita, Steam, and much more on the Video Game Deals category page. There’s coverage for both physical and digital releases as well as focus on the coveted Collector’s Editions!
