    Deals Disclaimer and Insight

    * Live Game Deals publishes deals as they are posted live on their corresponding site and as such prices might change hour to hour and occasionally minute to minute, second to second… Or even expire entirely/sell out! No deal is forever. Due to the nature of changes, keep in mind that price accuracy is dependent on the day and time of the post. If a couple of months have passed since a deal post was published, chances are there’s been pricing changes. Most of the time in the Video Game world, that means prices might have dropped further or remained slashed at their prior sale price.

However, occasionally a Video Game Deal could potentially be so good that all of the stock is purchased up and there’s no more. If a retailer deal really peaks your interest, best to not let it linger too long… As it will inevitably leave you at the mercy of third-party resellers. Which most of the time means significant pricing inflation. Thus a game that you might have purchased at $15 or $25 becomes less enticing potentially at $75 or $150.

Franchises based on Anime and popular Japanese brand releases with limited runs will typically sell out first on sale. While stateside sports game will typically fall in price as an annual release becomes available. Ultimate/Complete editions of specific genres like Fighting Games will similarly lead to a logical permanent drop of the standard editions.

Be sure to check out daily Video Game Deals for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, 3DS, Vita, Steam, and much more on the Video Game Deals category page. There’s coverage for both physical and digital releases as well as focus on the coveted Collector’s Editions!

Nintendo is holding a rare digital sale on practically the entire Mario game lineup for the Nintendo Switch for Mario Day (Mar10) at Amazon on March 10.

New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe – $39.99
    Discount: 50% off
    Regular Price: $59.99

    Super Mario Odyssey – $39.99
    Discount: 50% off
    Regular Price: $59.99

    Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – $39.99
    Discount: 50% off
    Regular Price: $59.99

    Mario Tennis Aces – $39.99
    Discount: 50% off
    Regular Price: $59.99

    Super Mario Party – $39.99
    Discount: 50% off
    Regular Price: $59.99

    Deal Rating: 8

The mainline Mario games are seemingly never on sale digitally, so for non-collectors, it’s a big deal. Though $30 would naturally be a more appealing price point, the scarcity of digital Mario game sales outside of the Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle crossover makes this one to consider. If you’re looking to get a title like New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe with endless replay value without having to switch Game Cards, this is the sale.

For Wii U owners prior to the Switch, keep in mind only Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Tennis Aces, and Super Mario Party are built from the ground up for the Switch rather than remastered deluxe iterations. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe however, is the only way you’re going to compete online on the Switch even if you own the Wii U original. Not to mention the definitive edition adding Splatoon’s cast from the ignition. New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe packs both New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U.

Official ‘Mario Day (Mar10)’ Deal Description:

    “Amazon Mar10 Day Deals:

Amazon is offering some great deals to celebrate Mario’s big day. Starting on March 10 through March 16, get a select Nintendo Switch™ system plus a select Nintendo Switch digital game for $329.98. You’ll get the gaming system that lets you play the games you want, wherever you are, however you like, and a popular Nintendo Switch digital title for a great deal.

Choose from the Super Mario Party™, Super Mario Odyssey™, Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe, Mario Tennis™ Aces or New Super Mario Bros.™ U Deluxe games. Already own a Nintendo Switch system? Amazon is also offering deals on select digital titles featuring Mario.

Get a digital download code of Super Mario Party, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Tennis Aces, or New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe for $39.99 each. Offer valid from 3/10 – 3/16, or while supplies last. Please check Amazon.com for details and availability.”

Today’s the last day to save on comfy, digital Nintendo Switch copies of the Disgaea franchise and more with the NIS America Publisher Sale on the eShop.

Disgaea 5 Complete is the centerpiece of the NIS America Publisher Sale in-progress at the Nintendo eShop, ending on February 6 at 8:59 AM PT (11:59 a.m. ET). The title is discounted to $29.99 (25% off) from its regular $39.99 price and it notably doesn’t go on sale for the Nintendo Switch too often.

Killia’s odyssey in Disgaea 5 Complete includes all DLC content and the sheer quantity of classic characters will have you in strategy grid’s memory lane. You’ll find playable scenarios to unlock Disgaea fan favorites such as Laharl, Etna, Flonne and The Witch and The Hundred Knight’s Metallia available from the get-go. Speaking of Laharl, the recently remastered Disgaea 1 Complete is also discounted, albeit for a heftier $39.99 (20% off).

The other noticeable discount around the $30 dollar range is one that piques curiosity for most SNK faithful. SNK HEROINES: Tag Team Frenzy is discounted to $29.99 (40% off) and was released fairly recently (this past September 7, 2018). Live Game Deals recently reviewed the Jeanne D’Arc and Skullomania DLC character additions to the title.

Wii U fans will notice one of the more limited release physical titles, Rodea the Sky Solder is discounted to $9.99. A great entry level price for those who want to try out one of Wii U’s final major developer releases. Composer Takayuki Nakamura of the Virtua Fighter, Tobal 2, Ehrgeiz franchises worked on Rodea’s soundtrack.

Without further adieu, here’s the full list of titles (Switch, Wii U, 3DS) discounted for NIS America’s Publisher Sale on the Nintendo eShop:
