Made in Abyss just released an extended English dubbed trailer of Journey’s Dawn ahead of the film’s highly anticipated Fathom Events silver screen debut.
Akihito Tsukushi’s magnum opus, Made in Abyss, is about to embark on a two-night big screen showing courtesy of Fathom Events. Fans of the breakout Manga and Anime series brought stateside by Sentai Filmworks is set to feature on March 20, 2019 and March 25, 2019! The original release with Japanese voice actors and English subtitles will show on 3/20 with the English dub debuting on 3/25 respectively.

Made In Abyss: Journey’s Dawn first premiered in the west over at L.A. Live’s Regal Cinema on by Sentai Filmworks on March 15, 2019 with a ritzy red carpet event. Featured guests included the film’s Director Masayuki Kojima, Producer Shimpei Yamashita, Composer Kevin Penkin, and music producer Hiromitsu Iijima.
The film sees the art direction of season 1’s Art Director Osamu Masayama, renowned for his work with Studio Ghibli. Masayama was once the background artist on the Oscar winning Spirited Away released back in 2001. Teaming up with Masayama is acclaimed artist Masayuki Kojima, known for his directorial role in crafting the Monster anime series into life.
Made In Abyss: Journey’s Dawn Synopsis:
The enigmatic Abyss is an unforgiving and deadly place. Despite the dangers, it still captures the imagination of explorers such as Riko who wishes to follow in her mother’s footsteps and trains hard to become a Cave Raider.
One day, she receives news that her mother died in the Abyss, yet a mysterious note tells Riko that her mother may still be alive. Vowing to uncover the truth about her mother’s fate, Riko embarks on a journey with a humanoid robot boy name Reg. Together, they will discover if they have what it takes to survive where so many others have perished.
